Today, “Life on Exchange” has received an exciting visit in the blog post, namely Anne and Anders from the popular Danish documentary series ‘Anne and Anders in Canada.’ They have traveled from British Columbia in the west to Nova Scotia in the east. The reason for this is that they are trying to understand the vast, multicultural country and meet some of the 200,000 Danes and their descendants who have contributed to shaping the country.

I, Liv, am particularly interested in their episode that focuses on British Columbia, and I ask them about what they did during their time there. They mention that they went out to see vast forests, which have historically attracted loggers and adventurers from all over the world, including Anders’ own grandfather. In the small town of Powell River, Anne and Anders also experience the consequences of Canada’s darkest historical chapter when they meet Lynn and Phillip, who are part of the country’s many indigenous people.

Are you curious about more of Anders and Anne? Then watch their entire documentary series right here.
